Farewell
We've had a great time over the past year and a half, but we've decided to pack it in.
Some of us may or may not be back in some shape or form at some point in the future, but this marks the end of the Reasonable Men.
It's been fun!
In search of a beat
We're back practicing and getting ready for shows in October. In the meantime, we're looking for a new drummer. If you are interested or know any kit fiends who might be, email
drummer@thereasonablemen.com. We're trying out drummers this coming weekend, September 8/9.
Radio Show Podcasts
We've been featured on a few podcasts in the past little while:
Break Thru Radio - The Scenic Route
Every six weeks, the New York-based Break Thru Radio site features a podcast dedicated to Canadian music - we were featured on the latest podcast in May
CiTR - The Canadian Way Podcast (direct link to mp3)
The Canadian Way radio show
plays every Friday evening on CiTR, UBC's independent radio station.
And finally, tomorrow we will be featured on the SFU radio show Melodies in Mind, hosted by Ryan Fletcher. Tune in between 8pm and 9:30 - we have an interview
and are playing a few songs live on air.
Nate
Nathan Holley has recently left the Reasonable Men, in order to pursue
a career in the film industry. We wish him the best of luck in the
future! His powerful drumming and tender falsetto will both be missed.
CDs out!
Thanks for everyone who came down to the CD release show last night...you guys are great!
If you still don't have a copy of our CD, you can buy it online from CDBaby or digitally through iTunes. Links on our Merch page.
Dual CD Release Party
We would like to invite you to a dual CD release party happening next Tuesday, May 15th at the Media Club. Two great bands, two great CDs! Plus a third band who are also great, but are not releasing a CD.
Said The Whale are releasing their new album "Taking Abalonia", recorded and produced at Vertical Studios by Tom Dobrzanski of Lotus Child. They are also about to leave for their summer tour across Canada! More tour dates are posted on their myspace page, where you can also hear choice cuts from the new album.
A couple months ago, we finished our debut CD, recorded at the Factory Studios, and we're making it official on the 15th. If you haven't picked it up yet, now's the time! This will be our last show for a few months as we take a break over the summer to work on new material.
Prairie Cat will also be playing! To quote Tyler from Said the Whale, "he's rad!" We agree.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased either at the door or in advance. This show just might sell out, so if you want to get your hands on some tickets in advance, call Tyler at 604-889-4782, email music@saidthewhale.com, or get in touch with any reasonable man.
